حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا ثَابِتٌ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَاصَلَ فِي رَمَضَانَ فَوَاصَلَ نَاسٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ فَأُخْبِرَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِذَلِكَ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَوْ مُدَّ لِي الشَّهْرُ لَوَاصَلْتُ وِصَالًا يَدَعُ الْمُتَعَمِّقُونَ تَعَمُّقَهُمْ إِنِّي أَظَلُّ يُطْعِمُنِي رَبِّي وَيَسْقِينِي.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Affan told us: Hammad ibn Salama told us: Thabit informed us, from Anas ibn Malik, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, practiced continuous fasting during Ramadan, so some of his companions did continuous fasting too. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, was informed of that, so the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "If the month were extended for me, I would continue fasting continuously in a way that would make those who go to extremes abandon their extremism. Indeed I spend the night being fed and given drink by my Lord."
