حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ أَنَّ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ الزُّبَيْرَ بْنَ الْعَوَّامِ وَعَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ عَوْفٍ شَكَوَا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْقُمَّلَ فَرَخَّصَ لَهُمَا فِي قَمِيصِ الْحَرِيرِ فِي غَزَاةٍ لَهُمَا.

Affan told us: Hammam told us: Qatada told us that Anas ibn Malik informed him that al-Zubayr ibn al-Awwam and Abd al-Rahman ibn Awf complained to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, of lice, so he granted them a concession to wear silk shirts during a military expedition of theirs.
