حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي التَّيَّاحِ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ كَانَ مَوْضِعُ مَسْجِدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِبَنِي النَّجَّارِ وَكَانَ فِيهِ حَرْثٌ وَنَخْلٌ وَقُبُورُ الْمُشْرِكِينَ فَقَالَ يَا بَنِي النَّجَّارِ ثَامِنُونِي بِهِ فَقَالُوا لَا نَبْتَغِي بِهِ ثَمَنًا إِلَّا عِنْدَ اللَّهِ قَالَ فَقَطَعَ النَّخْلَ وَسَوَّى الْحَرْثَ وَنَبَشَ قُبُورَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ قَالَ وَكَانَ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَبْنِيَ الْمَسْجِدَ يُصَلِّي حَيْثُ أَدْرَكَتْهُ الصَّلَاةُ وَفِي مَرَابِضِ الْغَنَمِ وَكَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ وَهُمْ يَنْقُلُونَ الصَّخْرَ لِبِنَاءِ الْمَسْجِدِ اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّ الْخَيْرَ خَيْرُ الْآخِرَهْ فَاغْفِرْ لِلْأَنْصَارِ وَالْمُهَاجِرَهْ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
'Affan narrated to us, Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us, from Abu al-Tayyah, from Anas ibn Malik, who said: The site of the mosque of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, belonged to Banu al-Najjar, and it had cultivated land, palm trees, and graves of the polytheists in it. He said, "O Banu al-Najjar, name me a price for it." They said, "We do not seek any price for it except from Allah." He said: So the palm trees were cut down, the cultivated land was leveled, and the graves of the polytheists were dug up. He said: And the Prophet of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, before he built the mosque, used to pray wherever the prayer time found him, even in the folds where sheep were penned. And the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, used to say, while they were carrying stones to build the mosque: "O Allah, indeed the good is the good of the Hereafter, so forgive the Ansar and the Muhajirin."
