Abdullah ibn al-Harith told us: Salama ibn Wardan told me that Anas ibn Malik, companion of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, told him that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, asked a man among his companions: O so-and-so, have you married? He said: No, and I have nothing with which to marry. He said: Do you not have with you Say, He is Allah, One? He said: Yes indeed. He said: That is a quarter of the Qur'an. He said: Do you not have with you Say, O disbelievers? He said: Yes indeed. He said: That is a quarter of the Qur'an. He said: Do you not have with you When the earth is shaken? He said: Yes indeed. He said: That is a quarter of the Qur'an. He said: Do you not have with you When the help of Allah comes? He said: Yes indeed. He said: That is a quarter of the Qur'an. He said: Do you not have with you the Verse of the Throne, Allah, there is no god but He? He said: Yes indeed. He said: That is a quarter of the Qur'an. He said: Marry, marry, marry - three times.
