حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنِي سُوَيْدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مَرْوَانُ الْفَزَارِيُّ، عَنِ الْمُخْتَارِ بْنِ نَافِعٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو مَطَرٍ الْبَصْرِيُّ، وَكَانَ، قَدْ أَدْرَكَ عَلِيًّا رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ عَلِيًّا اشْتَرَى ثَوْبًا بِثَلَاثَةِ دَرَاهِمَ فَلَمَّا لَبِسَهُ قَالَ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي رَزَقَنِي مِنْ الرِّيَاشِ مَا أَتَجَمَّلُ بِهِ فِي النَّاسِ وَأُوَارِي بِهِ عَوْرَتِي ثُمَّ قَالَ هَكَذَا سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Hadrat Abu Matar al-Basri - who met `Hadrat Ali (may Allah be well pleased with him) - narrated that ‘Ali bought a garment for three dirhams and when he put it on he said: Praise be to Allah Who has provided me with a garment with which to beautify myself before the people and cover my `awrah. Then he said: This is what I heard the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) say.
