'Abd al-Razzaq told us: Ma'mar informed us, he said: 'Asim ibn Sulayman informed me, from Anas ibn Malik, who said, "I never saw the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, grieve over anything as he grieved over the companions of Bi'r Ma'unah, the men of the expedition of al-Mundhir ibn 'Amr. He remained for a month invoking curses in the qunut of the dawn prayer against those who had struck them down, invoking curses upon Ri'l, Dhakwan, 'Usayyah, and Lihyan, who were of Banu Sulaym."
