حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ زَيْدٍ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ مُرَّ بِجِنَازَةٍ فَأَثْنَى الْقَوْمُ خَيْرًا فَقَالَ وَجَبَتْ ثُمَّ مُرَّ بِجَنَازَةٍ أُخْرَى فَأُثْنِيَ عَلَيْهَا شَرًّا فَقَالَ وَجَبَتْ فَقَالُوا قُلْتَ لِهَذَا وَجَبَتْ وَلِهَذَا وَجَبَتْ قَالَ شَهَادَةُ الْقَوْمِ وَالْمُؤْمِنُونَ شُهَدَاءُ اللَّهِ فِي الْأَرْضِ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Yunus ibn Muhammad narrated to us: Hammad, that is Ibn Zayd, narrated to us, from Thabit, from Anas, who said: A funeral bier passed by and the people praised it well, so he said: "It is assured." Then another bier passed by and was spoken of ill, so he said: "It is assured." They said: "You said of this one, 'It is assured,' and of that one, 'It is assured'?" He said: "The testimony of the people — the believers are Allah's witnesses on earth."
