Abd al-Razzaq told us, Ma'mar informed us, from Qatadah, from Anas: The people of Mecca asked the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, for a sign, so the moon split at Mecca twice, and he said: "The Hour has drawn near, and the moon has split; and if they see a sign, they turn away and say, 'Continuing magic.'"
