حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ وَأَبُو دَاوُدَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ الْمَعْنَى حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَنَسًا يَقُولُ لِامْرَأَةٍ مِنْ أَهْلِهِ أَتَعْرِفِينَ فُلَانَةَ فَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَرَّ بِهَا وَهِيَ تَبْكِي عَلَى قَبْرٍ فَقَالَ لَهَا اتَّقِي اللَّهَ وَاصْبِرِي فَقَالَتْ لَهُ إِيَّاكَ عَنِّي فَإِنَّكَ لَا تُبَالِي بِمُصِيبَتِي قَالَ وَلَمْ تَكُنْ عَرَفَتْهُ فَقِيلَ لَهَا إِنَّهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَخَذَ بِهَا مِثْلُ الْمَوْتِ فَجَاءَتْ إِلَى بَابِهِ فَلَمْ تَجِدْ عَلَيْهِ بَوَّابًا فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنِّي لَمْ أَعْرِفْكَ فَقَالَ إِنَّ الصَّبْرَ عِنْدَ أَوَّلِ صَدْمَةٍ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
'Abd al-Samad narrated to me: Shu'ba narrated to us—and Abu Dawud said: Shu'ba informed us, the meaning being the same: Thabit narrated to us, who said: I heard Anas say to a woman from his family: "Do you know so-and-so? The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, passed by her while she was weeping over a grave, and said to her: 'Fear Allah and be patient.'" She said to him: "Leave me alone, for you do not care about my calamity." He said: She had not recognized him. It was said to her: "That was the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him." Something like death seized her, and she came to his door and found no doorkeeper there, and said: "O Messenger of Allah, I did not recognize you." He said: "Patience is [shown] at the first shock [of calamity]."
