حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَاصِمٍ أَخْبَرَنَا الْجُرَيْرِيُّ عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ قَالَ غَلَا السِّعْرُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالُوا لَهُ لَوْ قَوَّمْتَ لَنَا سِعْرَنَا قَالَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ الْمُقَوِّمُ أَوْ الْمُسَعِّرُ إِنِّي لَأَرْجُو أَنْ أُفَارِقَكُمْ وَلَيْسَ أَحَدٌ مِنْكُمْ يَطْلُبُنِي بِمَظْلَمَةٍ فِي مَالٍ وَلَا نَفْسٍ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Ali ibn Asim told us, al-Jurayri informed us, from Abu Nadra, from Abu Sa'id, who said: "Prices rose high in the time of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, so they said to him: 'If only you would fix prices for us.'" He said: "'Indeed, Allah is the Fixer, or the Setter, of prices. I hope that I meet Allah while none of you seeks a grievance against me concerning wealth or life.'"
