Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us: Sufyan narrated to us, from Uthman al-Batti, from Abu al-Khalil, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, he said: "We took captive women from the captives of Awtas who had husbands, and we disliked having relations with them while they had husbands, so we asked the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, about it, and this verse was revealed: 'And [also forbidden are] married women, except those whom your right hands possess.' So we deemed their private parts lawful for us by it."
