حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ الْخَرَّاطِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا سَلَمَةَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ مَرَّ بِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيُّ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ كَيْفَ سَمِعْتَ أَبَاكَ يَقُولُ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ الَّذِي أُسِّسَ عَلَى التَّقْوَى قَالَ قَالَ أَبِي دَخَلْتُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي بَيْتِ بَعْضِ نِسَائِهِ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَيُّ الْمَسْجِدَيْنِ الَّذِي أُسِّسَ عَلَى التَّقْوَى فَأَخَذَ كَفًّا مِنْ حَصًى فَضَرَبَ بِهِ الْأَرْضَ قَالَ هُوَ هَذَا مَسْجِدُ الْمَدِينَةِ قَالَ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ أَتَشْهَدُ لَسَمِعْتَ أَبَاكَ هَكَذَا يَذْكُرُهُ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Yahya told us, from Humayd al-Kharrat, who said: I heard Abu Salamah ibn 'Abd al-Rahman say: 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Sa'id al-Khudri passed by me, so I said to him: "How did you hear your father speak about the mosque that was founded upon piety?" He said: My father said: "I entered upon the Messenger of God (peace and blessings be upon him) in the house of one of his wives, and I said: 'O Messenger of God, which of the two mosques is the one founded upon piety?' So he took a handful of pebbles and struck the ground with it and said: 'It is this one, the mosque of Medina.'" So I said to him: "Do you testify that you heard your father mention it thus?"
