حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ حَدَّثَنِي عَلِيُّ بْنُ زَيْدٍ أَخْبَرَنِي مَنْ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ لَيَرْعَفَنَّ عَلَى مِنْبَرِي جَبَّارٌ مِنْ جَبَابِرَةِ بَنِي أُمَيَّةَ يَسِيلُ رُعَافُهُ قَالَ فَحَدَّثَنِي مَنْ رَأَى عَمْرَو بْنَ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْعَاصِ رَعَفَ عَلَى مِنْبَرِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَتَّى سَالَ رُعَافُهُ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'The son of Adam has not filled a vessel worse than his stomach. A few morsels are sufficient for the son of Adam to keep his back straight. But if he must (eat more), then a third for his food, a third for his drink, and a third for his breath.'
