حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامٌ عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ اخْتَصَمَتْ الْجَنَّةُ وَالنَّارُ فَقَالَتْ الْجَنَّةُ أَيْ رَبِّ مَا لَهَا يَدْخُلُهَا ضُعَفَاءُ النَّاسِ وَسَقَطُهُمْ وَقَالَتْ النَّارُ يَا رَبِّ مَا لَهَا يَدْخُلُهَا الْجَبَّارُونَ وَالْمُتَكَبِّرُونَ قَالَ لِلْجَنَّةِ أَنْتِ رَحْمَتِي أُصِيبُ بِكِ مَنْ أَشَاءُ وَقَالَ لِلنَّارِ أَنْتِ عَذَابِي أُصِيبُ مِنْكِ مَنْ أَشَاءُ وَلِكُلِّ وَاحِدَةٍ مِنْكُنَّ مِلْؤُهَا قَالَ فَأَمَّا الْجَنَّةُ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لَا يَظْلِمُ مِنْ خَلْقِهِ أَحَدًا وَإِنَّهَا يُنْشَأُ لَهَا مِنْ خَلْقِهِ مَا شَاءَ وَأَمَّا النَّارُ فَيُلْقَوْنَ فِيهَا وَتَقُولُ { هَلْ مِنْ مَزِيدٍ } وَيُلْقَوْنَ فِيهَا وَتَقُولُ { هَلْ مِنْ مَزِيدٍ } حَتَّى يَضَعَ رَبُّنَا عَزَّ وَجَلَّ فِيهَا قَدَمَهُ فَهُنَالِكَ تَمْتَلِئُ وَيَنْزَوِي بَعْضُهَا إِلَى بَعْضٍ وَتَقُولُ قَطْ قَطْ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'Paradise and the Fire argued. Paradise said: O Lord, what is wrong with me that only the weak and lowly of people enter me? The Fire said: O Lord, what is wrong with me that only the arrogant and tyrants enter me? He said to Paradise: You are My mercy; through you I show mercy to whom I will. He said to the Fire: You are My punishment; through you I punish whom I will. Each of you shall have its fill. As for Paradise, Allah the Mighty and Majestic does not wrong any of His creation, and He creates for it whatever He wills. As for the Fire, they are cast into it and it says: Is there more? They are cast into it and it says: Is there more? Until our Lord the Mighty and Majestic places His foot in it — then it will be filled and will draw together, and it will say: Enough, enough!'
