Hajjaj told us: Layth told us: Sa'id told me, from 'Ata' ibn Mina', the freed slave of Ibn Abi Dhubab, that he heard Abu Hurayrah say: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say: "Allah, Mighty and Majestic, has guaranteed for whoever goes forth in His way, moved by nothing but faith in Me and jihad in My way, that he is a charge upon Me until I admit him to Paradise for his faith, whatever happens to him — whether by being killed or by natural death — or that I return him to his dwelling from which he set out, having attained whatever he attained of reward or spoils."
