Muhammad ibn Ja'far told us: 'Awf told us, from al-Hasan, who said: It has reached me that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "[Injury or death caused by] a mine entails no liability, an animal entails no liability, a well entails no liability, and in buried treasure [rikaz] there is a fifth due." Muhammad ibn Ja'far told us: 'Awf told us, from Muhammad ibn Sirin, from Abu Hurayrah, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, similar to that.
