Jabir said: Some Jews greeted the Prophet (peace be upon him) saying: 'Al-samu alaykum (Death be upon you).' He said: 'Wa alaykum (And upon you).' Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said angrily: 'Did you not hear what they said?' He said: 'Yes, I heard and I replied to them. We are answered [by Allah] and they are not.'
