Al-Bara' ibn Azib said: 'The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) commanded us with seven things and prohibited us from seven. He commanded us to visit the sick, follow funeral processions, say "yarhamuk Allah" to one who sneezes, fulfill oaths, help the oppressed, spread the greeting of peace, and accept invitations. And he prohibited us from gold rings, silver vessels, silk cushions, silk brocade (qasiyyah), thick silk (istabraq), silk (dibaj), and pure silk (harir).'
