حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم: لاَ عَدْوَى، وَلاَ طِيَرَةَ، وَيُعْجِبُنِي الْفَأْلُ الصَّالِحُ، الْكَلِمَةُ الْحَسَنَةُ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Hadrat Anas reported that the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said, "There is no infection* and there are no bad omens, although I am pleased by a good omen - a good word." * The majority of scholars interpret this to mean that these things in and of themselves do not transmit or cause harm through supernatural or hidden means but that Allah is ultimately in control and any fearful superstition around these is false.
اردو ترجمہ
حضرت انس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: بیماری خود نہیں لگتی اور بدشگونی کی کوئی حقیقت نہیں، البتہ مجھے فال (نیک شگون) پسند ہے — اچھی بات (جو سنی جائے)۔
