حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ حُسَيْنٍ الْمُعَلِّمِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ، أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَنْ صَلاَةِ الرَّجُلِ قَاعِدًا فَقَالَ " صَلاَتُهُ قَائِمًا أَفْضَلُ مِنْ صَلاَتِهِ قَاعِدًا وَصَلاَتُهُ قَاعِدًا عَلَى النِّصْفِ مِنْ صَلاَتِهِ قَائِمًا وَصَلاَتُهُ نَائِمًا عَلَى النِّصْفِ مِنْ صَلاَتِهِ قَاعِدًا " .
انگریزی ترجمہ
Hadrat 'Imran ibn Husayn (may Allah be well pleased with him) asked the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) about the prayer of a man while sitting. He (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: 'His prayer standing is better than his prayer sitting, and his prayer sitting is half of his prayer standing, and his prayer lying down is half of his prayer sitting.'
اردو ترجمہ
حضرت عمران بن حصین رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم سے بیٹھ کر نماز پڑھنے کے بارے میں پوچھا — آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: اس کی کھڑے ہو کر نماز بیٹھ کر نماز سے افضل ہے، اور بیٹھ کر نماز کھڑے ہو کر نماز کی آدھی ہے، اور لیٹ کر نماز بیٹھ کر نماز کی آدھی ہے۔
