حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ شَرِيكِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي نَمِرٍ، عَنْ كُرَيْبٍ، عَنِ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ : بِتُّ لَيْلَةً عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم لأَنْظُرَ كَيْفَ يُصَلِّي فَقَامَ فَتَوَضَّأَ ثُمَّ صَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ قِيَامُهُ مِثْلُ رُكُوعِهِ، وَرُكُوعُهُ مِثْلُ سُجُودِهِ، ثُمَّ نَامَ، ثُمَّ اسْتَيْقَظَ فَتَوَضَّأَ وَاسْتَنَّ ثُمَّ قَرَأَ بِخَمْسِ آيَاتٍ مِنْ آلِ عِمْرَانَ { إِنَّ فِي خَلْقِ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ وَاخْتِلاَفِ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ } فَلَمْ يَزَلْ يَفْعَلُ هَذَا حَتَّى صَلَّى عَشْرَ رَكَعَاتٍ، ثُمَّ قَامَ فَصَلَّى سَجْدَةً وَاحِدَةً فَأَوْتَرَ بِهَا، وَنَادَى الْمُنَادِي عِنْدَ ذَلِكَ، فَقَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم بَعْدَ مَا سَكَتَ الْمُؤَذِّنُ فَصَلَّى سَجْدَتَيْنِ خَفِيفَتَيْنِ، ثُمَّ جَلَسَ حَتَّى صَلَّى الصُّبْحَ . قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ : خَفِيَ عَلَىَّ مِنِ ابْنِ بَشَّارٍ بَعْضُهُ .
انگریزی ترجمہ
Hadrat al-Fadl ibn Abbas (may Allah be well pleased with them both) narrates: 'I spent a night with the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) to observe how he prayed. He rose, performed wudu, and prayed two rak'ahs — his standing was as long as his bowing, and his bowing as long as his prostration. Then he slept. Then he woke up, performed wudu and used the miswak. Then he recited five verses from Al 'Imran: "Indeed in the creation of the heavens and the earth and the alternation of night and day..." He kept doing this until he prayed ten rak'ahs. Then he stood and prayed one rak'ah (witr). The mu'adhdhin called, and the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stood after the mu'adhdhin fell silent and prayed two light rak'ahs (sunnah of Fajr). Then he sat until he prayed the dawn prayer.' Abu Dawud said: Some of this hadith was unclear to me from Ibn Bashshar.
اردو ترجمہ
حضرت فضل بن عباس (رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما) فرماتے ہیں: میں ایک رات نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے پاس رکا تاکہ دیکھوں آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کیسے نماز پڑھتے ہیں — آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم اٹھے، وضو فرمایا — پھر دو رکعتیں پڑھیں جن میں قیام رکوع جتنا تھا، رکوع سجدے جتنا تھا — پھر سو گئے — پھر بیدار ہوئے، وضو فرمایا اور مسواک کیا — پھر آلِ عمران کی پانچ آیتیں پڑھیں: إِنَّ فِي خَلْقِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَاخْتِلَافِ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ — یہی عمل بار بار فرماتے رہے یہاں تک کہ دس رکعتیں پڑھیں — پھر اٹھ کر ایک رکعت (وتر) پڑھی — مؤذّن نے اذان دی — آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم مؤذّن کے خاموش ہونے کے بعد اٹھے — دو ہلکی رکعتیں (سنّت فجر) پڑھیں — پھر بیٹھے رہے یہاں تک کہ صبح کی نماز پڑھی۔ ابوداود فرماتے ہیں: ابنِ بشار سے مجھ پر اس حدیث کا بعض حصہ مخفی رہا۔
