بِسْمِ ٱللَّٰهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
بِسْمِ ٱللَّٰهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

نا هُشَيْمٌ، أنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي خَالِدٍ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، قَالَ:" لَهَا الرَّجْعَةُ مَا لَمْ تَضَعِ الآخَرَ".
Al-Sha'bi said: "The husband retains the right of return as long as she has not delivered the second child."
نا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي خَالِدٍ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، أَنَّهُ سُئِلَ عَنْ ذَلِكَ، فَقَالَ:" هُوَ أَحَقُّ بِهَا مَا لَمْ تَضَعِ الآخَرَ إِنّ...
Al-Sha'bi said: "The husband has greater right to her as long as the second child has not been born; it is like menstruation."
نا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، نا أَشْعَثُ بْنُ سَوَّارٍ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، قَالَ:" لَهُ الرَّجْعَةُ مَا لَمْ تَضَعِ الآخَرَ".

نا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، نا أَشْعَثُ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ:" إِذَا وَضَعَتِ الأَوَّلَ فَقَدْ بَانَتْ".
Ibrahim al-Nakha'i said the same: "She returns to the first husband with whatever divorce counts remained."
نا هُشَيْمٌ، نا أَشْعَثُ، عَنْ حَمَّادٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ.
Al-Hasan al-Basri said: "The second marriage restores the divorce count of the first husband to three."
نا هُشَيْمٌ، أنا خَالِدٌ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، قَالَ:" إِذَا وَضَعَتِ الأَوَّلَ فَقَدْ بَانَتْ". قَالَ سَعِيدٌ:" حَتَّى تَضَعَ الآخَرَ".
Umar ibn al-Khattab, Ali, and Ubayy ibn Ka'b all held the view that the second marriage restores three divorce counts to the first husband.
