Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:9657 حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ عَنْ جَابِرٍ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ وَسُئِلَ عَنْ §رَجُلٍ قَالَ لِامْرَأَتِهِ اخْتَارِي فَسَكَتَتْ ثُمَّ قَالَ لَهَا اخْتَارِي فَسَكَتَتْ ثُمَّ قَالَ لَهَا الثَّالِثَةَ اخْتَارِي فَقَالَتْ قَدِ اخْتَرْتُ نَفْسِي قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ فِي أَمْرُكِ بِيَدِكِ قَالَ
English Translation
Ishaq ibn Ibrahim narrated from Abd al-Razzaq, from al-Thawri, from Jabir, from al-Sha'bi, from Masruq, from Ibn Mas'ud who was asked about a man who said to his wife: 'Choose.' She remained silent. Then he said to her: 'Choose.' She remained silent. Then he said to her a third time: 'Choose.' She said: 'I have chosen myself.' He said: (the ruling is the same, as narrated). Hasan said regarding 'your affair is in your hand' (the same).
