Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:9485 حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ النَّضْرِ الْأَزْدِيُّ ثنا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ثنا زَائِدَةُ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ «كَانَتِ الْمَرْأَةُ مِنْ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ تَلْبَسُ الْقَالَبَيْنِ فَتَقُومُ عَلَيْهِمَا فَتُوَاعِدُ خَلِيلَهَا فَأُلْقِيَ عَلَيْهِنَّ الْحَيْضُ» وَكَانَ عَبْدُ اللهِ يَقُولُ «أَخِّرُوهُنَّ حَيْثُ أَخَّرَهُنَّ اللهُ»
English Translation
Abdullah said: 'A woman from the Children of Israel would wear raised shoes and stand on them to meet her male friend. So menstruation was imposed upon them.' And Abdullah used to say: 'Keep them behind where Allah has kept them behind.'
