Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:9085 حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ثنا يَحْيَى الْحِمَّانِيُّ ثنا وَكِيعٌ عَنْ أَبِي سِنَانٍ سَعِيدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ بْنِ مُزَاحِمٍ قَالَ بَلَغَ ابْنَ مَسْعُودٍ أَنَّ مَرْوَانَ يَقُولُ {وَآتَيْنَاهُ أَهْلَهُ وَمِثْلَهُمْ مَعَهُمْ} قَالَ أَتَى أَهْلًا غَيْرَ أَهْلِهِ فَقَالَ ابْنُ مَسْعُودٍ «بَلْ أَتَى بِأَهْلِهِ بِأَعْيَانِهِمْ وَمِثْلِهِمْ مَعَهُمْ»
English Translation
Ibn Mas'ud was informed that Marwan says regarding the verse 'And We gave him his family and the like thereof with them': 'He was given a different family.' Ibn Mas'ud said: "Rather, he was given his exact family and the like of them with them."
