Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:878 حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ الْمُؤَدِّبُ ثنا عَفَّانُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ ثنا وَهْبٌ ثنا مُوسَى بْنُ عُقْبَةَ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنِ الْأَقْرَعِ بْنِ حَابِسٍ أَنَّهُ نَادَى رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ مِنْ وَرَاءِ الْحُجُرَاتِ فَقَالَ يَا مُحَمَّدُ إِنَّ حَمْدِي زَيْنٌ وَإِنَّ ذَمِّي شَيْنٌ فَقَالَ «ذَاكُمُ اللهُ ﷻ»
English Translation
Al-Aqra' ibn Habis called out to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) from behind the chambers and said: "O Muhammad, my praise is an adornment, and my censure is a blemish." He said: "That is Allah the Mighty and Majestic."
