Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:8928 حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ ثنا الْمَسْعُودِيُّ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ قَالَ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ الْأَمِيرُ إِذَا أُمِّرَ كَانَتْ لَهُ بِطَانَتَانِ مِنْ أَهْلِهِ بِطَانَةٌ تَأْمُرُهُ بِطَاعَةِ اللهِ وَبِطَانَةٌ تَأْمُرُهُ بِمَعْصِيَةٍ وَهُوَ مَعَ مَنْ أَطَاعَ مِنْهُمَا
English Translation
Abdullah said: 'When a ruler is appointed, he has two types of close advisors: one that commands him to obey Allah, and one that commands him to disobey. He follows whichever of them he obeys.'
