English Translation
Umayyah ibn Makhshi — who was a companion of the Prophet (peace be upon him) — narrated: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) was sitting and a man was eating without mentioning Allah's name until only one morsel remained. He said: "In the name of Allah, its beginning and its end." The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) laughed and said: "The devil was eating with you, and when you mentioned the name of Allah, he vomited what was in his stomach."
