Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:8745 حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ النَّضْرِ الْأَزْدِيُّ ثنا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ثنا زَائِدَةُ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ حَيَّانَ عَنْ عَنْبَسِ بْنِ عُقْبَةَ قَالَ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ «وَاللهِ الَّذِي لَا إِلَهَ غَيْرُهُ مَا عَلَى ظَهْرِ الْأَرْضِ شَيْءٌ أَحْوَجُ إِلَى طُولِ سِجْنٍ مِنْ لِسَانٍ»
English Translation
'Abdullah said: "By Allah, besides Whom there is no other god, there is nothing on the back of the earth more deserving of long imprisonment than the tongue."
