Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:8680 حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ النَّضْرِ الْأَزْدِيُّ ثنا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ثنا زَائِدَةُ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ شَقِيقٍ قَالَ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ إِنِّي قَدْ سَمِعْتُ الْقُرَّاءَ فَسَمِعْتُهُمْ مُتَقَارِبِينَ فَاقْرَءُوا كَمَا عَلِمْتُمْ وَإِيَّاكُمْ وَالتَّنَطُّعَ وَالِاخْتِلَافَ فَإِنَّمَا هُوَ كَقَوْلِ أَحَدِكُمْ هَلُمَّ وَتَعَالَ
English Translation
'Abdullah said: "I have heard the reciters and found them close to each other. So recite as you were taught. Beware of exaggeration and dispute (about the Quran), for it is like one of you saying 'Come here' and 'Come' (different words, same meaning)."
