Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:837 حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ ثنا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحَرِيشِ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ وَاقِدٍ الْعَطَّارُ ثنا مَعْمَرُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ بْنِ سَرِيعٍ قَالَ لَمَّا مَاتَ عُثْمَانُ بْنُ مَظْعُونٍ أَشْفَقَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ عَلَيْهِ فَلَمَّا مَاتَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ ابْنُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «أُلْحِقَ بِسَلَفِنَا الصَّالِحِ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ مَظْعُونٍ»
English Translation
Al-Aswad ibn Sari' narrated: When Uthman ibn Maz'un died, the Muslims grieved over him. When Ibrahim, the son of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), died, he said: "He has joined our righteous predecessor, Uthman ibn Maz'un."
