Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:8589 حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ ثنا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ وَهْبٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ «لَا يَزَالُ النَّاسُ بِخَيْرٍ مَا أَتَاهُمُ الْعِلْمُ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ مُحَمَّدٍ ﷺ وَمِنْ أَكَابِرِهِمْ فَإِذَا جَاءَ الْعِلْمُ مِنْ قِبَلِ أَصَاغِرِهِمْ فَذَاكَ حِينَ هَلَكُوا»
English Translation
'Abdullah said: "People will remain in good so long as knowledge comes to them from the Companions of Muhammad (peace be upon him) and from their elders. When knowledge comes from their juniors, that is when they will perish."
