Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:8085 حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثنا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ كَاسِبٍ ثنا سَلَمَةُ بْنُ رَجَاءٍ عَنْ مُبَارَكِ بْنِ فَضَالَةَ عَنْ أَبِي غَالِبٍ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «إِنَّ الْمَلَائِكَةَ لَيَقُومُونَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ عَلَى أَبْوَابِ الْمَسْجِدِ مَعَهُمِ الصُّحُفُ يَكْتُبُونَ النَّاسَ حَتَّى إِذَا خَرَجَ الْإِمَامُ طُوِيَتِ الصُّحُفُ» فَقُلْتُ لَيْسَ لِمَنْ خَرَجَ بَعْدَ الْإِمَامِ جُمُعَةٌ؟ فَقَالَ «بَلَى وَلَكِنَّهُ لَيْسَ فِيمَا فِي الصُّحُفِ»
English Translation
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Indeed, the angels stand at the doors of the mosque on Friday with scrolls, recording the people. When the imam comes out, the scrolls are rolled up." I said: "Does the one who comes after the imam not have a Friday prayer?" He said: "Indeed he does, but he is not in what is in the scrolls."
