English Translation
Abu Umamah reported: The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, 'Al-Sham is the chosen land of Allah from His lands. He selects for it the chosen of His servants. Whoever leaves al-Sham for elsewhere, it is due to wrath, and whoever enters it, it is due to mercy.'
