Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:7193 حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الرَّاسِبِيِّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ حِسَابٍ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حُمْرَانَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو بِشْرٍ عَنْ مُسَافِعِ بْنِ شَيْبَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ شَيْبَةَ قَالَ دَخَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الْكَعْبَةَ فَصَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ فَرَأَى فِيهَا تَصَاوِيرَ فَقَالَ «يَا شَيْبَةُ اكْفِنِي هَذِهِ» فَاشْتَدَّ ذَلِكَ عَلَى شَيْبَةَ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ فَارِسَ إِنْ شِئْتَ طَلَيْتُهَا وَلَطَخْتُهَا بِزَعْفَرَانَ فَفَعَلَ
English Translation
The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'The best of my Ummah are its first generation, then those who follow them, then those who follow them. Then there will come people who will give testimony before they are asked, who will betray and not be trusted, who will make vows and not fulfill them, and fatness will appear among them.'
