Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:6572 حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ قَدِمَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لِأَرْبَعٍ خَلَوْنَ مِنْ ذِي الْحِجَّةِ فَلَمَّا طَافُوا بِالْبَيْتِ وَبِالصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «اجْعَلُوهَا عُمْرَةً» فَلَمَّا كَانَ يَوْمُ التَّرْوِيَةِ لَبَّوْا بِالْحَجِّ فَلَمَّا كَانَ يَوْمُ النَّحْرِ طَافُوا بِالْبَيْتِ وَلَمْ يَطُوفُوا بَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ قِصَّةَ سُرَاقَةَ بْنِ مَالِكٍ
English Translation
Jabir ibn 'Abdullah narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) arrived on the fourth of Dhul-Hijjah. When they circumambulated the Ka'bah and between Safa and Marwah, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Make it an 'umrah." On the Day of Tarwiyah they recited the talbiyah for Hajj. On the Day of Sacrifice they circumambulated the Ka'bah but did not perform sa'i between Safa and Marwah. He did not mention the story of Suraqah ibn Malik.
