English Translation
Sahl ibn Sa'd narrated that a man peeked at the Prophet (peace be upon him) through the curtain of his room, and the Prophet had a hair-comb (midra) in his hand. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "If I had known you were watching me, I would have stabbed your eye with this comb. Seeking permission to enter was only ordained because of the gaze."
