Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:5305 زُهَيْرُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْهِلَالِيُّ «كَانَ يَنْزِلُ الْبَصْرَةُ» حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ الْقَاضِي ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ قَالَا ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ التَّمِيمِيُّ عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ النَّهْدِيِّ
English Translation
Jabir ibn 'Abdullah said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said on the Day of the Trench: "Who will bring us news of the enemy?" Al-Zubayr said: "I will." He asked again: "Who will bring us news of the enemy?" Al-Zubayr said: "I will." He asked a third time: "Who will bring us news of the enemy?" Al-Zubayr said: "I will." The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Indeed, for every prophet there is a disciple, and my disciple is al-Zubayr."
