Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:5076 حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ثنا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْلَى زُنْبُورٍ ثنا عُمَرُ بْنُ الصُّبْحِ عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ عَنْ نُفَيْعِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَا تُنْزِلُوا عِبَادِي الْعَارِفِينَ الْمُوَحِّدِينَ مِنَ الْمُذْنِبِينَ الْجَنَّةَ وَلَا النَّارَ حَتَّى أَكُونَ أَنَا الَّذِي أُنْزِلُهُمْ بِعِلْمِي فِيهِمْ وَلَا تَكَلَّفُوا مِنْ ذَلِكَ مَا لَمْ تَكَلَّفُوا وَلَا تُحَاسِبُوا الْعِبَادَ دُونَ رَبِّهِمْ»
English Translation
Zayd ibn Arqam said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Do not consign My servants who know and affirm My Oneness — among the sinners — to Paradise or to Hell until I am the One who consigns them by My knowledge of them. Do not take upon yourselves what you have not been tasked with, and do not hold the servants to account before their Lord."
