English Translation
Al-Zubayr and his dispute about irrigation with an Ansari man. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "O Zubayr, irrigate (your land) and then release the water to your neighbor." The Ansari became angry and said: "Is it because he is your cousin?" The Prophet's face changed color, and he said: "O Zubayr, irrigate and then hold the water until it reaches the walls." So he gave al-Zubayr his full right, though he had first given a lenient ruling that would have benefited both of them.
