English Translation
Khalid ibn Sa'id reported: He came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) when he arrived from the emigration to Abyssinia, and with him was his daughter Umm Khalid. He brought her to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), and she was wearing a yellow shirt that had impressed her. She had learned some of the Abyssinian language. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) spoke to her in Abyssinian, saying: "Sanah, sanah" — which means "good" in Abyssinian. Then he said to her: "Wear it out and replace it, then wear it out and replace it." He said: She wore it out, by Allah, then replaced it, then wore it out and replaced it. Then she leaned toward the back of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) and placed her hand on the place of the seal of prophethood. Her father pulled her away, and the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Leave her."
