Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:4071 حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ حَبِيبٍ الطَّرَائِفِيُّ ثنا أَيُّوبُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْوَزَّانُ ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ عَنْ وَاصِلِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ عَنْ أَبِي سَوْرَةَ عَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ قَالَ لَمَّا مَاتَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ ابْنُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ مَشَى الْمُشْرِكُونَ بَعْضُهُمْ إِلَى بَعْضٍ فَقَالُوا إِنَّ هَذَا الصَّابِئَ قَدْ بُتِرَ اللَّيْلَةَ فَأَنْزَلَ اللهُ تَعَالَى {إِنَّا أَعْطَيْنَاكَ الْكَوْثَرَ} إِلَى آخِرِ السُّورَةِ
English Translation
Abu Ayyub reported: When Ibrahim, the son of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), died, the polytheists went to one another and said: "This heretic has been cut off tonight." Then Allah, the Exalted, revealed: "Indeed, We have granted you al-Kawthar" to the end of the surah.
