English Translation
Abu Ayyub reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) came out to us and said: "How excellent are those who clean between [their teeth and toes]!" They said: "What do you mean by those who clean between, O Messenger of Allah?" He said: "Those who clean between in ablution and those who clean between from food. As for cleaning between in ablution, it means rinsing the mouth, sniffing water into the nose, and [washing] between the fingers. As for cleaning between from food, it means [removing remnants] from food, for there is nothing more burdensome upon the two angels than seeing something between the teeth of their companion while he is standing in prayer."
