Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:3960 حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ أَبِي الطَّاهِرِ بْنِ السَّرْحِ الْمِصْرِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَزِيزٍ الْأَيْلِيُّ ثنا سَلَامَةُ بْنُ رَوْحٍ عَنْ عُقَيْلٍ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ أَخْبَرَنِي عَطَاءُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أُبَيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَا يَحِلُّ لِمُسْلِمٍ أَنْ يَهْجُرَ أَخَاهُ فَوْقَ ثَلَاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ فَيَصُدُّ هَذَا وَيَصُدُّ هَذَا وَخَيْرُهُمَا الَّذِي يَبْدَأُ بِالسَّلَامِ»
English Translation
Ubayy ibn Ka'b reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "It is not permissible for a Muslim to abandon his brother for more than three days. This one turns away and that one turns away, and the better of the two is the one who initiates the greeting of peace."
