Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:3746 حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَبِي يَعْقُوبَ الْكَرْمَانِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي بُكَيْرٍ ثنا عَبْدُ الْغَفَّارِ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ قَالَ قَالَ أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ وَسَعْدُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ وَخُزَيْمَةُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِنَّ هَذَا الْوَجَعَ رِجْسٌ وَبَقِيَّةُ عَذَابٍ عُذِّبَ فِيهِ قَوْمٌ قَبْلَكُمْ فَإِذَا كَانَ بِأَرْضٍ فَلَا تَدْخُلُوهَا وَإِذَا كَانَ بِأَرْضٍ وَأَنْتُمْ بِهَا فَلَا تَدْنُوا مِنْهُ» يَعْنِي الطَّاعُونَ
English Translation
Usamah ibn Zayd, Sa'd ibn Malik, and Khuzaymah ibn Thabit said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "This disease (plague) is a filth and a remnant of a punishment with which a people before you were punished. If it is in a land, do not enter it, and if it is in a land while you are in it, do not go near it" - meaning the plague.
