Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:3572 حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثنا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَظِيمِ الْعَنْبَرِيُّ ثنا النَّضْرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ثنا عِكْرِمَةُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ حَدَّثَنِي مَخْشِيُّ بْنُ حُجَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللهِ ﷺ خَطَبَ فِي حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ فَقَالَ «يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ أَيُّ بَلَدٍ هَذَا؟» قَالُوا بَلَدٌ حَرَامٌ قَالَ «فَأَيُّ شَهْرٍ هَذَا؟» قَالُوا شَهْرٌ حَرَامٌ قَالَ «فَأَيُّ يَوْمٍ هَذَا؟» قَالُوا يَوْمٌ حَرَامٌ قَالَ «أَلَا إِنَّ دِمَاءَكُمْ وَأَمْوَالَكُمْ وَأَعْرَاضَكُمْ عَلَيْكُمْ حَرَامٌ كَحُرْمَةِ يَوْمِكُمْ هَذَا كَشَهْرِكُمْ هَذَا كَحُرْمَةِ بَلَدِكُمْ هَذَا فَلْيُبَلِّغْ شَاهِدُكُمْ غَائِبَكُمْ لَا تَرْجِعُوا بَعْدِي كُفَّارًا يَضْرِبُ بَعْضُكُمْ رِقَابَ بَعْضٍ»
English Translation
Hujayr narrated that the Prophet of Allah (peace be upon him) gave a sermon during the Farewell Hajj and said: 'O people, what land is this?' They said: A sacred land. He said: 'What month is this?' They said: A sacred month. He said: 'What day is this?' They said: A sacred day. He said: 'Indeed, your blood, your wealth, and your honor are sacred to you, like the sanctity of this day of yours, like this month of yours, like the sanctity of this land of yours. Let those present convey to those absent. Do not return after me as disbelievers striking each other's necks.'
