English Translation
Narrated Abu Malik al-Ash'ari: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, 'Three things I have concealed from My servants - if they saw them, no one would ever do evil again: if I removed My veil so they could see Me and know with certainty, and know how I deal with My creation when I cause them to die, and I grasp the heavens in My Hand, then grasp the earth and all the earths, and say, "I am the King! Who has dominion besides Me?" Then I would show them Paradise and all the good I have prepared in it, so they would be certain of it, and I would show them the Fire and all the evil I have prepared in it, so they would be certain of it. But I deliberately concealed that from them so that I may know how they act, though I have made it clear to them.'
