Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:2563 حَدَّثَنَا سَهْلُ بْنُ مُوسَى شِيرَانُ الرَّامَهُرْمُزِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي صَفْوَانَ الثَّقَفِيُّ ثنا قُرَيْشُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ ثنا ابْنُ عَوْنٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ خَطَبَ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ؓ إِلَى مَنْظُورِ بْنِ سَيَّارِ بْنِ رَيَّانَ الْفَزَارِيِّ ابْنَتَهُ فَقَالَ «وَاللهِ إِنِّي لَأُنْكِحُكَ وَإِنِّي لَأَعْلَمُ أَنَّكَ غَلِقٌ طَلِقٌ مَلِقٌ غَيْرَ أَنَّكَ أَكْرَمُ الْعَرَبِ بَيْتًا وأَكْرَمُهُ نَسَبًا»
English Translation
Al-Hasan ibn 'Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) proposed to the daughter of Manzur ibn Sayyar ibn Rayyan al-Fazari. He (Manzur) said: "By Allah, I am marrying you to her even though I know that you are one who quickly angers, quickly divorces, and is a flatterer. But you are the noblest of the Arabs in lineage and the most honorable in household."
