English Translation
Jarir said: I came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) while he was taking a pledge. I said: "O Messenger of Allah, extend your hand so I may pledge allegiance to you, and set your condition, for you know better." He said: "I take your pledge that you will worship Allah, establish prayer, give zakah, be sincere to the Muslims, and dissociate from the polytheists."
