Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:152 حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ ثنا يُونُسُ بْنُ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ عَلِيًّا ؓ قَالَ قَالَ لِي أَبِي يَا عَمْرُو فَانْظُرْ إِلَى أَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ «فَلَمْ أَرَهُ خَضَبَ لِحْيَتَهُ ضَخْمَ الرَّأْسِ»
English Translation
I saw Ali, and my father said to me: 'O Amr, look at the Commander of the Faithful.' He was a stocky man, bald on the front of his head, with a large belly, and a wide, thick beard that filled the space between his shoulders.
